The rational for this is that public administration is essentially centered on humanism. It is made by humans for humans, and hence it must be informed by knowledge and understanding about human nature: its traits, needs, motivations and aspirations to well-being – and the rights and obligations associated to our human condition. To achieve this, it must lay philosophical wisdom alongside technical expertise as the only way forward for a better and more humane society and public governance.
