Public Administration

It is well established that a well-trained and highly functional bureaucracy is a sine qua non for national development. Lack of effective bureaucracies has been identified as a major problem in Africa. One that observers say threatens almost all development efforts as well as basic public administration. Government policies intended to improve the welfare of citizens on a national scale can only be achieved with effective bureaucracies. This issue is very important to us at ITSRLab, and we intend to work with African bureaucracies to discover the problems bedeviling them and to propose context-specific solutions to those problems.
